While ceramics have dominated the landscape of stylish-but-functional homewares for the last few years, a lighter, more ethereal movement has been percolating in the background: borosilicate glassware. And perhaps no one has been more at the forefront of that designer Sophie Lou Jacobsen, whose first line of artful, playful vessels in 2019 sold out everywhere from price-upon-request boutiques to Urban Outfitters

Domino got the first look at her new line, which builds on the existing collection with new colorways and fresh forms, including smaller bud vases and decanters.  “I was looking at more traditional decorative glassware from the early 1900s—mostly Austrian, Swedish, and Italian—and wanted to incorporate some of those elements into these new pieces,” says Jacobsen.“ Jacobsen partnered with Brooklyn-based glass artist Amy Lemaire to bring her new line to life. We’re eyeing the bud vases and pitchers for our WFH stations: the little vases for the mini-bouquets collected on daily walks with the pitchers to add some fun to the perpetual struggle to stay properly hydrated.

Her latest creations will be available through Coming Soon, Cooper Hewitt Shop, Yowie, Spartan, as well as Jacobsen’s own site. For more of our favorites, see below:
