One of the best—but admittedly strange, haha!—aspects of blogging is that you have a permanent record of your style evolution over the years. It’s funny to look back at some of my posts when I was first starting out and see how different my outfits were for 26-year-old city Liz then they are now for 33-year-old mom Liz. Of course, trends have changed, too, but I think the most significant difference between some of my early posts and my current posts is how much more I used to dress up on a daily basis. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a good date night or party look, but the reality is that my wardrobe has adapted for working from home and chasing around two toddlers.
Luckily it sounds like most of you are on the same page, based on a few recent content surveys we’ve taken. There’s really nothing better than a cozy sweater, a comfy pair of jeans and some cute sneakers, is there? Since this is an outfit combination I’m in more often than not, I like to look for fun statement pieces to spice up my weekday uniform—Walmart has so many great options! You guys all loved this mock neck camo sweater when I shared it in insta stories, and I’m happy to report that it’s still available in a couple of sizes. I’m also so excited to announce that Walmart just started carrying Steve Madden! I’ve been looking for a pair of suede sneakers like these ones for a long time—I love that they’re easy enough to slip on before running out of the house to pick up the boys or take Webster for a walk, but they’re also a little bit more elevated to make a casual outfit feel more put-together. I kind of love this snakeskin pair and this leopard pair (a budget-friendly version of my Golden Goose!), too—it’s safe to say that I’m sneaker-obsessed at this point. Just like the statement sweaters, a bold pair of sneakers is one of my favorite ways to make a weekday uniform feel a little bit more exciting and a lot more like me!
